Have you ever wanted to run a race…but…motivation got in the way? Maybe you thought about it… but instead you had a donut… or a beer? Have you ever wanted to participate in a fundraiser… but also wanted it to be super fun? Is 3 miles just too darn far… but you still want the t-shirt??

Oakmont's Fourth Annual Slacker's Run will have all the fun included below:

  • .4K – you read that right.. we didn’t make a mistake on the decimal point. It’s less than ¼ mile!! Anyone can do this!
  • Free T-shirt if you sign up before 4/10
  • (2) free beers per adult runner and free donut located at the water tent
  • Free Kona Ice for the kids (one free snow cone per kid)

  • A sticker for the car so you can prove you ran a race!

VIP Slacker - All inclusive pass

Want to have prime parking for the day of the event? Maybe ride a golfcart with family or friends and get to the finish line quicker? Or what about just having some extra goodies in your bag when you are finished with the run including an insulated cup?

When you purchase a VIP ticket ALL of those items are included. Help us raise money for the Child's Advocacy Center with this all inclusive pass! VIP passes are limited quantity, don't procrastinate on this.

Wet Zone

Be sure to check out our NEW wet zone! This zone will be for all ages! We will have a dunk tank, water bounce houses, and more! Be sure to bring your bathing suit and towels for this new addition to the Slacker Run.

Child Advocacy Center

All proceeds will be directly donated to the Child Advocacy Center located right here in Gainesville.

The Child Advocacy Center, Inc. (CAC) provides a child friendly facility for children and their families during child abuse investigations. By using a compassionate and collaborative approach, the CAC helps to facilitate healing and safety by giving children a safe place to talk about what happened to them, a multidisciplinary team of professionals to investigate their case, and advocates and therapists to help them with critical life-saving services for their family. The CAC provides ongoing advocacy and therapy services for children as long as they need at no charge to the families. Consultation and training about child abuse identification and prevention is also available for the community. In 2019, the CAC served 3,861 people affected by child abuse, including 1,799 child victims. Of these children served, 37 were victims of human trafficking and 10 were victims of child pornography. The mission of the CAC is to break the cycle of child abuse in Alachua County and you are helping fulfill that mission by being part of Oakmont's .4k Slacker Run!
